Our beach is really privileged! With a small number of residents, Maresias remained practicably unexplored until the mid 80’s, with the advent of a new highway, one of the most beautiful Brazilian highways: the Rio-Santos. Since then, the city assumed it exclusively touristic vocation and started to receive visitors from almost every location in Brazil and overseas. Foreigners that travel all over the world always get stunned with our coast. The sea water quality is enviable and sand is clear and thin. This is all surrounded by Rain Forest from all sides. Severe environmental protection laws apply in our municipality, preventing the construction of large buildings and stimulating selective waste collection.
And it all gets better when fun plays along. Maresias’ waves are one of our greatest postcards. Base of surfing competitions (especially between May and October), Maresias attracts surfers from all over, who come by to practice, have fun or just learn. And if you like diving, bring a snorkel and, in days of calm sea, see what’s below in our blue sea. It’s fascinating!
The Rain Forest that surrounds our region is certainly one of the most preserved areas that remained in our country. For those with an adventurous spirit, it is always possible to take a look at the forest, with its colorful birds, dense vegetation, and rivers of crystalline water, source of water of our swimming pool, our taps, and for which we hold the responsibility to preserve and save. For those who enjoy gastronomy, nothing less than 3 Japanese restaurants, in addition to great pizzerias and seafood restaurants, are available. At the beach in which welfare is a must, there are also natural food options and the best açaí berry cream you can taste.
And there is of course our greatest attraction. The night life of Maresias is very famous, especially among electronic music lovers. We are two blocks away from Sirena, several times elected “The best nightclub in Brazil”. With capacity to accommodate more than 3 thousand people, this beautiful club hosts the best DJs in the world during the weekends.
With this all and much more, Maresias is, and will remain being, what the others try but can’t be: the most prestigious beach in the coast of São Paulo!
