Maresias
Our beach is truly privileged! With few residents, Maresias was practically undiscovered until the mid-eighties. Since then, its tourism has grown and Maresias has started to receive visitors from all over Brazil and the rest of the world. Ever so, foreigners who travel all around the world absolutely love our coastline. The quality of the sea waters and the clear, fine sand are enviable. All this is enclosed by the Atlantic Ocean all around. Our town is protected by severe environmental laws, stopping the construction of big buildings and promoting the collection of recyclable rubbish.
But, all of this adds up to having more fun. The Maresias waves are our great pride. With surf championships (mainly between may and october), Maresias attracts surfers from everywhere who want to train, enjoy themselves or just learn. The beach is also perfect for diving. Bring your snorkel and on the days when the sea is calm, you will see perfectly what there is below the blue sea. It's amazing!
The Atlantic Ocean which surrounds our region, without doubt, amongst the best preserved in our country. For the more adventurous there is also the forest to explore, with the colored parrots and crystal clear waters (which fill our swimming pools and come out of taps and which we are obliged to economize and preserve).
With regards to restaurants, there are no less than 3 Japanese restaurants, amongst great pizzerias and seafood restaurants. On the beach where good health is the law, there is also no lack of natural food and the best Açai (A Brazilian typical energetic fruit, from Amazonia) that you will have ever tried.
Neither can we forget one our greatest attractions. Maresias nightlife is very famous, mainly amongst fans of electronic music. Here it is, hardly 2 blocks from us, the nightclub which has been elected various times as the best club in Brazil: Sirena. With capacity for more then 3 thousand people, Sirena attracts DJ´s from all the world to play in Maresias on the weekends. For this and much more, Maresias is, and will continue being, that which all try to match but don't succeed: The liveliest beach on the coast of São Paulo!
Try "Hot to get here" to check where we are.
